Have you ever heard the saying stop and smell the roses? or some one giving you this exact advice? And we wonder what exactly does stop smelling the roses really mean?  If you have a pet most likely a dog and you take your dog out for a walk you would notice that the dog has to stop at almost everything to smell everything weather it be a tree a blade of grass a bush etc.  We may think oh great my dog has to go to the bathroom which maybe true but if I learned anything as a dog owner a lot of the times my dog lives by the saying stop and smell the roses.

I believe that is how we should be with our lives we just need to stop worrying stop being fearful and trust God with all our hearts minds and souls because God knows exactly what he's doing.  When I was walking my dog the other day, he stopped at every gate every tree every yard every bush and smelled them and at first it was annoying because I was tired in pain and I wanted to go home.  Through this whole ordeal it gave me peace, for him to stop I had to stop so every time we stopped I took a deep breath and thank God for all the things that I shouldn't do right now but I can.

Sometimes we take everything for granted get angry easily frustrated at our coworkers or bosses or family members because to us they simply annoy us.  We need to see the bigger picture as wow I have a job and millions don't wow I am able to get an education and a lot of kids cant.  We need to be more thankful for what we do have instead of complaining about what we don't have.

Stop and smell the Roses, take a walk breath the fresh air, hang with family and most importantly thank God for the things you do have and not what you don't have.
